      Symphony School of America for two summers.

 Awarded a study grant in Amman, Jordan, by the American Center for Oriental

      Studies (ACOR)

Represented the UMKC Doctoral Program at national MENC

Faculty Council President, William Jewell College 1998-1999

Awarded Conducting Workshop participation as an active conductor with:

     American Symphony Orchestra League

     Dartmouth College Mozart Symposium and Concert

     Royal Conservatory of Music, Ontario, Canada.

          Teaching fellowship by William Jewell College at Harlaxton College, Grantham,England - 2 semesters

          Upon retirement, the Liberty Mayor proclaimed May 1, 2002 as "Phil Posey Day"
